Delete Your Accountinu Account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Accountinu account and the data associated with it. Accountinu is the personal and business accounting app available on Android, iOS, and the web.

How to delete your account

Option 1: Delete in the app or on the web (recommended)

  1. Sign in to your Accountinu account at accountinu.com or app.accountinu.com.
  2. Open your Profile page: accountinu.com/user/profile.
  3. Scroll to the Delete Account section at the bottom of the page.
  4. Click Delete Account, enter your password, and confirm.

Your account and associated data will be permanently deleted once you confirm.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you cannot sign in or prefer to request deletion by email, contact us at [email protected] from the email address linked to your account. Include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address registered with Accountinu
  • A clear request to delete your account

We will verify your identity and process the request within a reasonable time.

What data is deleted

When your account is deleted, we permanently delete or anonymize:

  • Account information: name, email address, password (hashed), profile photo, two-factor authentication settings, language preference, and active sessions
  • Workspace data you own: income, expense, and transfer records; chart of accounts; contacts; products and categories; attachments and receipts; saved filters and reports; workspace settings; and team memberships in workspaces you own
  • API tokens and other authentication credentials tied to your account

What data may be kept

We may retain certain information for a limited period when required for legal, security, fraud prevention, or backup purposes, including:

  • Server and security logs (IP address, request timestamps) — retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting
  • Backup copies — may persist until the next backup rotation cycle before being permanently removed
  • Support correspondence — if you contacted support, records of that interaction may be kept as needed to resolve your request

We do not retain your financial workspace data after account deletion is complete, except as noted above.

Data in shared workspaces

If you are a member of a workspace owned by another user, deleting your account removes your membership and personal account data. Workspace data owned by other users is not deleted.

If you own a workspace with other members, deleting your account deletes that workspace and all data within it. Export any data you need before deleting your account.

Retention period

After you confirm account deletion (or we process your email request), we delete or anonymize your personal data within 30 days, except where a longer retention period is required by law or for the limited security and backup purposes described above.
